Grippers™, a Dog Quality product; are non-slip dog socks which give your older dog the traction they need on slippery indoor surfaces such as tile or hardwood. An innovative design provides a grip around the entire paw so even if the socks twist, your dog will continue to have the traction they need. 4 socks per set.
The soft rubber coating creates a waterproof barrier so these dog socks can also be worn outdoors. No more having to take the traction socks on and off each time your dog goes outside. *Please note: Due to the rubber coating Grippers do not provide traction on snow or ice therefore we do not recommend using them in winter conditions.
Both weight and paw measurements are very important in determining the correct size. If your dog does not match the weight category for his paw size, please contact us for sizing assistance. When measuring width please have your dog standing (if possible) and measure flat across the top of the paw at the widest point – please do not measure down the sides. Alternatively, you can have your dog standing on a piece of paper and then mark both sides of the paw and measure the distance between these marks. If your dog is 60 lbs or more we recommend going up one size from where the width lines up with our sizing.
It is difficult for dogs with arthritis and other mobility challenges to remain stable on tile and hardwood and can often fall very hard on these unforgiving floors, so Grippers are a great way to help stabilize them and keep them safely on their feet. More comfortable than dog shoes or dog boots and more protective than regular dog socks, Grippers represent a step forward in dog footwear.

Unfortunately I ordered the wrong size and they were falling down on my pup, however Dog Quality was gracious enough to send me another size, and they fit perfectly and my old pup is much more at ease walking on the hardwood floors! Poor. Can’t get them on my dog’s feet.

These worked well for my old lab who was slipping on our floors. However, on more than one occasion the Velcro straps slip down the foot causing her foot to swell. When you use these socks I would suggest using for short periods or removing and checking the foot for swelling or checking to see if the socks are slipping. I think with the shape of the dog foot, slipping down is inevitable. The socks I got were a snug fit so it didn’t slip because I had th wrong size sock.

My Golden Retreiver does not slip with thoses on. However he has trouble lying down because the rear socks grip on the floor and impair the way the dog slide down on the floor. Dog needs to learn another way to lie down.

Thanks for your comments. I am confident the XXL can work for your dog since we have fit dogs up to 115 lbs with that size. The socks can be tricky to get on so I would like to share this video which shows a simple tip using a plastic jar that will help you get them on your dog: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OA9Nyav_SDQ The socks do need to fit snug and will stretch and we have had great success so definitely worth another try.

My dog is 85 lbs so I ordered the xxl. I couldn’t begin to get them on him. If you can get them on, they would probably be fine.

The Gripper booties come with little velcro straps and they should hold up fine — however, I was worried I would lose them and bought a few extras. As it turns out this was a great idea, as my old girl wears her grippers outside and the velcro can get a little worn out over time as it picks up dirt and debris from the yard. This company is great! When I ordered a size too big they immediately shipped a replacement without waiting for me to return the originals. Thank you!

We bought a set for our old corgi to try and help him walk on polished floor boards. We had some issues fitting them on his feet and mentioned this to the company who were prompt and helpful with their replies. The YouTube video showing how to use a cup to get them on is very helpful. Our dog was a bit confused by them but they definitely helped him and his back legs no longer splayed out sideways when on the floor boards. We had some issues because our dog has smaller back feet than front, so we really needed 2 pairs are of different sizes, but it was mostly the back legs that needed help. Our overall impression is that these are useful products and worth trying to see if they help. The other thing I wanted to highlight was that we received outstanding customer service. The representatives were very helpful and really tried hard to help us when we had trouble fitting on. They were eager to help and patient so I would encourage people to contact the company to ask for help if things don’t seem to be working because they had very useful advice about fitting them on properly and they did help once they were on.
