Grippers™, a Dog Quality product; are non-slip dog socks which give your older dog the traction they need on slippery indoor surfaces such as tile or hardwood. An innovative design provides a grip around the entire paw so even if the socks twist, your dog will continue to have the traction they need. 4 socks per set.
The soft rubber coating creates a waterproof barrier so these dog socks can also be worn outdoors. No more having to take the traction socks on and off each time your dog goes outside. *Please note: Due to the rubber coating Grippers do not provide traction on snow or ice therefore we do not recommend using them in winter conditions.
Both weight and paw measurements are very important in determining the correct size. If your dog does not match the weight category for his paw size, please contact us for sizing assistance. When measuring width please have your dog standing (if possible) and measure flat across the top of the paw at the widest point – please do not measure down the sides. Alternatively, you can have your dog standing on a piece of paper and then mark both sides of the paw and measure the distance between these marks. If your dog is 60 lbs or more we recommend going up one size from where the width lines up with our sizing.
It is difficult for dogs with arthritis and other mobility challenges to remain stable on tile and hardwood and can often fall very hard on these unforgiving floors, so Grippers are a great way to help stabilize them and keep them safely on their feet. More comfortable than dog shoes or dog boots and more protective than regular dog socks, Grippers represent a step forward in dog footwear.

The size you recommended for Thumper is perfect. We found rolling the sock on to a shot glass (Thumper takes XS), putting her foot inside and rolling the sock off and on to her leg works really easily. Velcro straps definitely help to keep them on. She walks perfectly normally and wears them all day, including for her walks, provided it’s dry. We take them off at night. She is way more confident and comfortable often running around now (as much as her arthritis will allow). A big improvement in her quality of life. I’ve told my vet about them so that he can recommend them to other clients.
I had asked Ashley about their use in tropical climates, but she had had no feedback relating to that particular issue – so this is for your information: We live in the Caribbean, do not normally run A/C during the day and they do not make her paws hot.

These are straightforward socks with grippy foot covers – not always easy to find ones that fit my dog’s huge feet! They help with traction on my floors and I like that they can go outdoors without getting messy. My dog has degenerative myelopathy so he sometimes drags his feet and they do get pushed partway off the foot when that happens, I will look into using the velcro strips, but I think it’s unavoidable with dogs that drag or knuckle under. Still, these give him some help and are easy to use.

My 8 year old dog hurt her back and we have hardwood floors and her leg would slip out from under her. Once I put the sock on her and she realized it help her walk she was a happy little lady. She’s doing better and doesn’t wear them now but they did the trick. Thank you for the product.

I have a beautiful lab/retriever mix who is 14 years old. Her hind legs are getting weak but she still loves her walks. Her back paws scrape the concrete and her nails were getting scraped to the qwik. These booties are great they stay on (hallelujah) and she is able to hold her balance and not slide with the grippers. I truly feel I did not waste my money on these gripper booties.

They are really difficult to put on. Dog doesn’t like to wear them. It makes his paws sweat and smell. Product took too long to arrive. Not for my pet :/

What a great product! My senior (12-1/2 yr old) German Shepherd was having so much trouble walking on the hardwood floors. He is a changed dog when wearing his grippers. And he looks adorable in them!

Excellent-wasn’t sure if my older dog would leave them on. She definitely won’t keep on her front paws but keeps the back paws on. It’s been amazing-doesn’t slip and she’ll fo into other rooms. Thank you!!!

My 14 yo Border Collie/mix is a therapy dog at the local hospital. He was having trouble on some of the floors that are slippery. His hind feet/legs would do the splits. Not good. Tried Toe Grips but they didn’t work. Ordered XL size (size for front feet) but his back feet were smaller and company sent two L size along with XL order. I bought some 1″ velcro strips to use instead of the narrower strips that came with order. Anyway we are using the size L and they are working great. He’s too mellow to try and take them off and he walks fine in them and doesn’t slip any more. So far don’t need to use them on front feet.
