Grippers™, a Dog Quality product; are non-slip dog socks which give your older dog the traction they need on slippery indoor surfaces such as tile or hardwood. An innovative design provides a grip around the entire paw so even if the socks twist, your dog will continue to have the traction they need. 4 socks per set.
The soft rubber coating creates a waterproof barrier so these dog socks can also be worn outdoors. No more having to take the traction socks on and off each time your dog goes outside. *Please note: Due to the rubber coating Grippers do not provide traction on snow or ice therefore we do not recommend using them in winter conditions.
Both weight and paw measurements are very important in determining the correct size. If your dog does not match the weight category for his paw size, please contact us for sizing assistance. When measuring width please have your dog standing (if possible) and measure flat across the top of the paw at the widest point – please do not measure down the sides. Alternatively, you can have your dog standing on a piece of paper and then mark both sides of the paw and measure the distance between these marks. If your dog is 60 lbs or more we recommend going up one size from where the width lines up with our sizing.
It is difficult for dogs with arthritis and other mobility challenges to remain stable on tile and hardwood and can often fall very hard on these unforgiving floors, so Grippers are a great way to help stabilize them and keep them safely on their feet. More comfortable than dog shoes or dog boots and more protective than regular dog socks, Grippers represent a step forward in dog footwear.

My lucy’s walk is much more stable and confident with the grippers. They also stay on with the Velcro – unlike many other doggy boots I have tried. I have bought several pairs ! Advise you buy one size up as a “try” as your dog may be more comfortable in a bigger size – as was mine

I’ve purchased several similar socks for my dog and none of them were as nice in terms of quality. These socks are soft, stretch nice and go on easy – it wasn’t the usual wrestle with the dog to get them on.
They really help them to grip on slippery floors, even though my dog is young, he’s always had trouble holding his legs in when he sits and he slides on the floor all the time. These really helped. The grip is good, he’s used other brands in the past that weren’t as grippy as they appeared and was a bit afraid to use the stairs with these at first as a result. Once he got over the fear and tried them it wasn’t long before he was running up and down the stairs with no trouble.
My dog has bad allergy issues that make his paws raw and sore, wearing the Grippers gives them a chance to heal, while keeping them clean and dry.

Our shih tzu little girl had hip surgery and couldn’t walk on our hardwood floors without falling. We had to put rugs everywhere! So, we got her some non-slip dog socks and they work perfectly. She is now confident when she steps off a rug onto hardwood floors because she knows that she won’t fall when wearing her socks. She needed size extra small; we initially ordered XX small and the company gladly took care of us in sending the correct size for her. Highly recommended company and product!

Hi Janice,
The socks do need to fit snug and will stretch as they are worked in and that will make getting them on easier. Also you and your dog will get more used to getting them on and that helps a lot. I do want to mention that you should be taking the socks off for breaks especially overnight when your dog is less active. Similar to why we humans take our socks off overnight 🙂

We loved the concept of having something on our dog’s paws that helps him to get up from the floor. We found it difficult to get the booties on his feet. Once on, they were off in a couple of days. We didn’t want to force the socks back on his feet so they’re just lying there in the middle of the floor.

My little terrier loved his gripper boots – his back legs stopped doing the splits on lino, tiles and smooth carpets. When he went to Matins and Evensong,he didn’t have to be carried from the back of the church to the *****, up by the altar, where his mum was rather noisy. (Very infradog, being carried.)
