Grippers™, a Dog Quality product; are non-slip dog socks which give your older dog the traction they need on slippery indoor surfaces such as tile or hardwood. An innovative design provides a grip around the entire paw so even if the socks twist, your dog will continue to have the traction they need. 4 socks per set.
The soft rubber coating creates a waterproof barrier so these dog socks can also be worn outdoors. No more having to take the traction socks on and off each time your dog goes outside. *Please note: Due to the rubber coating Grippers do not provide traction on snow or ice therefore we do not recommend using them in winter conditions.
Both weight and paw measurements are very important in determining the correct size. If your dog does not match the weight category for his paw size, please contact us for sizing assistance. When measuring width please have your dog standing (if possible) and measure flat across the top of the paw at the widest point – please do not measure down the sides. Alternatively, you can have your dog standing on a piece of paper and then mark both sides of the paw and measure the distance between these marks. If your dog is 60 lbs or more we recommend going up one size from where the width lines up with our sizing.
It is difficult for dogs with arthritis and other mobility challenges to remain stable on tile and hardwood and can often fall very hard on these unforgiving floors, so Grippers are a great way to help stabilize them and keep them safely on their feet. More comfortable than dog shoes or dog boots and more protective than regular dog socks, Grippers represent a step forward in dog footwear.

Very pleased. They work because the rubber goes all the way around the sock, as it should, still gripping if it twists on the foot (which anything on a dog’s foot is going to do). The velcro strips do keep them on. They don’t stay on without the strips, and you have to be mindful of dew claws if your dog has them as well as not get them too tight, but these are the two things that make gripper socks work where all others have failed. Overall very good product for slick surfaces and gentle outdoor use.

The booties worked well for our 17 year old standard schnauzer. She had arthritis and a weak back end, we had hardwood floors. She frequently would slip and fall on her backside. The one problem I had was she’d step on one and it would slip off, that’s when we realized you need to use the little velcro wrap-around to keep them on. After that she rarely managed to lose them.

My dear old dog wore her “slippers” everyday from the day they arrived ( with lightning speed!) until about the day before she had to go to the Rainbow Bridge. I think that was only maybe 2 weeks or so, I definitely discovered the Gripper Socks far too late. But they helped an old girl in her last steps- she was actually amazed , at first, when she was expecting a slip and fall, that she didn’t!
The socks were easy to put on and they stayed on pretty well with the velcro straps. I had to adjust them throughout the day. Now, she did not like them on her hind paws so for the short time we used them, I would alternate pairs for her front paws , that way they could be rinsed and dried for the next day and she always had clean ones.
Customer service was helpful with selecting the correct size. Again, I feel so sad that my dog did not have the benefit of the gripper socks for a longer time.
They are now set aside, in the nice zip lock bag they arrived in, for the next dog who may need them.

Almost 15 year old dog began slipping on hardwood floors. I was initially concerned that the size I ordered was too small but, since she has “hare” feet—-long and thin as opposed to round—-, they fit just fine. She’s walking well, including on gravel in dog yard. They wash well, too.

The video showing how to put them on was very helpful. Gunther, my 16-year old mini-schnauzer had no problem adapting to them and he walks with confidence now.. The velcro strips you provide help keep them up on his skinny legs.
