Grippers™, a Dog Quality product; are non-slip dog socks which give your older dog the traction they need on slippery indoor surfaces such as tile or hardwood. An innovative design provides a grip around the entire paw so even if the socks twist, your dog will continue to have the traction they need. 4 socks per set.
The soft rubber coating creates a waterproof barrier so these dog socks can also be worn outdoors. No more having to take the traction socks on and off each time your dog goes outside. *Please note: Due to the rubber coating Grippers do not provide traction on snow or ice therefore we do not recommend using them in winter conditions.
Both weight and paw measurements are very important in determining the correct size. If your dog does not match the weight category for his paw size, please contact us for sizing assistance. When measuring width please have your dog standing (if possible) and measure flat across the top of the paw at the widest point – please do not measure down the sides. Alternatively, you can have your dog standing on a piece of paper and then mark both sides of the paw and measure the distance between these marks. If your dog is 60 lbs or more we recommend going up one size from where the width lines up with our sizing.
It is difficult for dogs with arthritis and other mobility challenges to remain stable on tile and hardwood and can often fall very hard on these unforgiving floors, so Grippers are a great way to help stabilize them and keep them safely on their feet. More comfortable than dog shoes or dog boots and more protective than regular dog socks, Grippers represent a step forward in dog footwear.

my old girl…15 1/2……loves, loves, loves her gripper socks. she has a torn acl, too old to do surgery, and we have hardwood floors…..I hated to see her struggle on them…..also we have a rocky backyard and it would pain me to see her limp around and come back with rocks in her pads…..also the stairs were causing her to put pressure on her other hind leg and knee…..but no more…..she has confidence and these are a much better answer than crating her or trying expensive harnesses she would hate. I’m buying another set today because they do need to be washed…..and if left on too long cause the dogs feet to stink so I take them off at night while we sleep. Thank you for this product.

My 13 year old Aussie Shepard/Rott mix means the world to me. For the past year, arthritis has set in her hips and back. Medication helps the inflammation and pain but could not really help her stay up for long periods. Just got the socks, put them on her and she has walked more in one day then she has during an entire week. Anyone who loves their dog knows their faces and I saw my Roxy eyes look up at me with love and thanks as if to say, “I can move again”. I purchased the regular Mediums and Rox weighs about 60lbs now. They fit pretty good but I can see we will need to keep an eye on them as the do twist and when she was outside a quick turn caused a front and back one to twist and come off. No matter, a small obstacle I can help her with instead lifting her or assisting her to get through doggie door or run to pick her up when she couldn’t get up and cried for me. We have a 100 lb Weimaraner. The socks fit and he walks in them with no problem, but they come off just by walking across the floor. He is not pulling them off. I’m going to try putting velcro around his feet after putting the socks on to see if that helps. Don’t know if longer socks or stronger elastic would solve the problem. Wish they worked, he doesn’t slip with them on but I can’t keep pulling them up every 5 minutes.

If they are coming off that easy then the socks are too big – they need to fit snug otherwise they will slide. The Gripper Dog Socks are the answer for our 10 year old Lab/Beagle mix. He has had a problem with wood floors for a while, and recently had acl surgery. We wanted to find something that would give him the confidence to walk on the wood floors without slipping and re-harming his leg. Ann-Marie went above and beyond to get us the correct size to fit his paws (which is essential to keep them on well and functioning well). She did send some Velcro straps which definitely help the socks stay on. Bacchus is a happy little guy now! it is so cold in the winter when out for walks I use them as warm booties to go for walks, they NEVER COME OFF and it makes a difference as to whether or not Snickers can go out on the real cold days, simply the best product ever!

My westie had surgery for torn acls last year. He is also going to be 12 so we are careful not to let him slip on our hardwood and ceramic floors. These are the best ever. They do not fall off his feet at all. Put them on in the morning and he wears them all day. We take them off before he goes to bed. The adjustment period when we put them on for the first time was 10 minutes!!! The socks are part of his feet when he walks. Absolutely love them! Thank you so much for a wonderful product.

The grippers work great on our hard flooring for both our old “girls.” There is no slippage at all. Ann-Marie was a big help answering my after hour messages the same evening although I didn’t expect that quick of an answer! She helped me to purchase the proper size and sent straps to ensure they’d stay in place. We did need those as it turns out, and they work great. Also when I paid extra for speedy delivery that didn’t end up be so speedy she worked on my behalf to get a refund from the postal service and was successful! I recommend Ann-Marie and her company and certainly the grippers as well!

I purchased 2 sets of grippers for my dogs – neither set stayed on for more than a few minutes. When I requested an address so I could return them, about a week passed with no response. I can only assume that the seller is waiting for the 30-day period for refunds to pass on April 2, so they will not have to return my money. Maybe when they read this review I will get a response.

Can you please check your junk folder for the response? We would have told you about our policy that if the size you ordered does not fit we will send you a new size free of charge AND you can keep your original order. We would also ask that once you receive the new sets that you consider donating the sets that don’t fit. Also sometimes all that is needed are some velcro straps that we can send free of charge.
