Best Non Slip Dog Socks
Please Contact Us for Sizing Assistance to Ensure the Best Fit for Your Dog
Grippers™, a Dog Quality product; are non-slip dog socks which give your older dog the traction they need on slippery indoor surfaces such as tile or hardwood. An innovative design provides a grip around the entire paw so even if the socks twist, your dog will continue to have the traction they need. 4 socks per set.
The soft rubber coating creates a waterproof barrier so these dog socks can also be worn outdoors. No more having to take the traction socks on and off each time your dog goes outside. *Please note: Due to the rubber coating Grippers do not provide traction on snow or ice therefore we do not recommend using them in winter conditions.
Both weight and paw measurements are very important in determining the correct size. If your dog does not match the weight category for his paw size, please contact us for sizing assistance. When measuring width please have your dog standing (if possible) and measure flat across the top of the paw at the widest point – please do not measure down the sides. Alternatively, you can have your dog standing on a piece of paper and then mark both sides of the paw and measure the distance between these marks. If your dog is 60 lbs or more we recommend going up one size from where the width lines up with our sizing.
It is difficult for dogs with arthritis and other mobility challenges to remain stable on tile and hardwood and can often fall very hard on these unforgiving floors, so Grippers are a great way to help stabilize them and keep them safely on their feet. More comfortable than dog shoes or dog boots and more protective than regular dog socks, Grippers represent a step forward in dog footwear.

Hi Jenn,
Thanks for your review. We do have Velcro straps available which we are happy to provide free of charge. Most small dogs don’t need the Velcro which is why we only include it in sizes Large-XXL but we can also include them upon request so feel free to drop us a line and we can send some out to you.

My little dog laughed that I thought she’d keep these things on. She flicked them off in 3 strides. These are NOT suitable for quick little terriers who run and jump, simply as a means of protecting hardwood floors. 😉
On the other hand, our old German Shepherd who is dysplastic kept his on. Now. This is a dog who can get himself helplessly tripped up on an area rug, so he isn’t exactly flinging his feet anywhere. I have hope for these to stay on him well enough that he can handle our floors and wooden stairs.
The third dog is hit or miss. She’s less active than the terrier, but more mobile than the shepherd. She’s keeping hers on thus far, but I am not sure it will hold out. We’ll see.
In general, the quality of the socks is great. I’d like to see the company add a velcro strap (check out a pair of Muttluks for inspiration, guys!) and I would definitely try the upgraded version of the socks if they ever do add a strap.
I am not sure how durable these will be long term. My suggestion is definitely to keep the nails trim and sanded.
All in all, the product is the same as most other dog socks – but the rubber going all around the top IS awesome, hence why I would really love to see the strap added so that they stay on the more mobile dogs better. For a completely immobile dog who cannot move their feet very well at all, I think they’re a win (4 stars in that case!) but for other uses, the design seems to need a bit of work. 🙂

My dog is aging and she now seems to have difficulty walking on wood flooring and coming down our wood stairs…I bought her a pair of ‘Grippers’ Non slip dog socks and she is able to walk on the wood flooring and come down the stairs with so much ease. The great part about them is that the grip is all around the bottom of the sock, not just on the under side. This is great if the sock moves around and no matter which side it’s on it still grips. The price is so worth the item.

My 16-year-old dog slips on the hardwood floors, and these booties have really worked for him. Everything we tried before slipped off the feet/paws, but these stay on perfectly. They can be washed and dried. A great product for aging dogs.

Our Golden is 13 and was having trouble getting up on our hardwood floors. He had ACL surgeries on both back legs when he was only 7. As a result, he has developed arthritis. We were afraid he would slip and re-injure one of his legs. With Grippers, he NEVER slips and they must be comfortable because they stay on so well and he never tries to remove them. We will continue to order them so his last years will be comfortable and pain-free. The customer service is wonderful and questions are usually answered the same day. Great product – worth every penny!

Hi Kim,
This is usually a very easy issue to resolve. If the socks are sliding off it is either the wrong size or you may just need some of our Velcro straps. Can you please send us a photo of your dog wearing the socks so we can assess fit and make a recommendation? We have helped many Bichon’s so I am 100% confident we can resolve. Thanks

I was hoping this would be the answer but it’s not. They do seem to help my 10-lb Bichon; unfortunately, they won’t stay on for more than about ten minutes. I think the size (XS) is OK. She just won’t keep them on her feet.

DogQuality contacted me and offered to send me velcro straps and a different size. I received the XXS booties yesterday and am happy to report that they are staying on Daisy’s feet. (They did come off at first but not since I added the straps.) She seems more confident and is actually running around on our hardwood floor right now. I think they are going to help her a lot. Thank you.

Thanks! My Abby is doing so much better shine she has her socks. She has gained back her good weight I think because she is not using so much of her energy just trying to get up on shiny floors (laminate and tile). The tip I got when I contacted you about using the velcro strips was the winning piece to the puzzle.

We have a 16 year old RottieMix and 15 year old Great Dane/Golden Lab mix… Yes, we know that their age is amazing :)))….. They are each having issues with getting up, staying up and moving around. The Grippers are a life saver! The service @Dog Quality is terrific! We will use them in the future and recommend them to all of our friends with pups!
