Grippers™, a Dog Quality product; are non-slip dog socks which give your older dog the traction they need on slippery indoor surfaces such as tile or hardwood. An innovative design provides a grip around the entire paw so even if the socks twist, your dog will continue to have the traction they need. 4 socks per set.
The soft rubber coating creates a waterproof barrier so these dog socks can also be worn outdoors. No more having to take the traction socks on and off each time your dog goes outside. *Please note: Due to the rubber coating Grippers do not provide traction on snow or ice therefore we do not recommend using them in winter conditions.
Both weight and paw measurements are very important in determining the correct size. If your dog does not match the weight category for his paw size, please contact us for sizing assistance. When measuring width please have your dog standing (if possible) and measure flat across the top of the paw at the widest point – please do not measure down the sides. Alternatively, you can have your dog standing on a piece of paper and then mark both sides of the paw and measure the distance between these marks. If your dog is 60 lbs or more we recommend going up one size from where the width lines up with our sizing.
It is difficult for dogs with arthritis and other mobility challenges to remain stable on tile and hardwood and can often fall very hard on these unforgiving floors, so Grippers are a great way to help stabilize them and keep them safely on their feet. More comfortable than dog shoes or dog boots and more protective than regular dog socks, Grippers represent a step forward in dog footwear.

My 13-year-old border collie mix has been battling the hardwood floors in our new apartment for the last month. We bought temporary waterproof socks (by Top Paw:registered:) that worked great, but with the summer heat and their all-around sticky nature they soon became a hassle to put on all four paws. These are the perfect solution as they seem breathable and stretchy enough to easily put on and I don’t mind keeping them on her while she sleeps all day in her air conditioned room. Plus, her mobility is greatly improved and she no longer stumbles when trying to get up off of the floor or settle down on the hardwood. The front socks to come off a little easier so I may order another pair in a smaller size. A great, cheap investment for my friend. Thanks for a great product!

These gripper socks have given Abby a new lease on life. Even though she still gives me a hard time putting them on she has become much more playful again. Using Velcro strips has made a great deal of difference for keeping them on. Thanks for that tip when I called.

I adopted my dad’s severely over weight American Eskimo, and didn’t realize until I got her home, she was not going to be able to get herself up off the hardwood floors. I tried other Neoprene booties that fell off and down and twisted. I didn’t have much hope anything would help, but gave Grippers a try because of the sock like quality and the 360 degree grip. She got up the first time successfully and every time since! The Grippers work and stay on much better than the others I tried. They also don’t twist, but it would be okay if they did because there’s grip all the way around!

First, these are awesome. I bought one set to try out and I’m back to order another 2 sets. What I definitely want others to know is persistence pays off! Between me learning how to put these on, and my dog getting acclimated it took about three days to feel like they were working and worth it.
The first day was the worst. I struggled getting them on, my dog was definitely weirded out on the lawn with her socks. The second day I only took half as long to get her socks on, my dog liked them inside but still leery about them outside. Third day – magic! She was comfortable in them inside and out, I was able to get the socks on easily!
If you have them, make sure to place the Velcro straps just above where the foot widens, around the fabric of the sock. I had been putting the Velcro too high, so it would slip creating floppy socks. Once I put the Velcro just above where her foot widens, the Velcro didn’t slip down – no more floppy sock! I even noticed a band of different stitching on the sock, this is just about perfect as far as where to place the Velcro.

issue is my dog is a large 100 lb dog and the sizing doesn’t quite fit. However with that said I have a special needs, old girl with neuropathy primarily affecting one of her hind legs so I use your sock to give her needed grip plus protect her paw. I have developed an assist ‘harness’ to help her pick her foot up. I have ideas for you to help other dogs, as the solution can be simple and doesn’t need to cost dog owners a lot of money. I have ordered your product again and will modify as I need for my girl but maybe my ideas could help you & others. I think you are a very accommodating company!

Hi Julianne – can you please send us a photo of your dog wearing the socks so we can assist? Most Golden Retrievers fit our XL very well but since it does sound like your dog has very large paws you may need our XXL. We have fit dogs up to 110 lbs comfortably with those. However we would really like to see a photo to make sure we find the best fit.

i purchased these for my 12.5 year old golden retriever to navigate our hardwood floor and stairs. His paws are the size of my palm and the largest boots cramp his feet inside. After two wearings, his toenails, which I had cut, broke through on all four boots. If the issues would be addressed, I would love the idea of the sock/boot. It is much gentler than paws from pet smart.

I have to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your GREAT product. These booties have saved my old fur baby from many spills on the tile. He has LS Disease and Neuropathy in his back legs and thanks to your booties, he can get around on the tile with more security.
