Grippers™, a Dog Quality product; are non-slip dog socks which give your older dog the traction they need on slippery indoor surfaces such as tile or hardwood. An innovative design provides a grip around the entire paw so even if the socks twist, your dog will continue to have the traction they need. 4 socks per set.
The soft rubber coating creates a waterproof barrier so these dog socks can also be worn outdoors. No more having to take the traction socks on and off each time your dog goes outside. *Please note: Due to the rubber coating Grippers do not provide traction on snow or ice therefore we do not recommend using them in winter conditions.
Both weight and paw measurements are very important in determining the correct size. If your dog does not match the weight category for his paw size, please contact us for sizing assistance. When measuring width please have your dog standing (if possible) and measure flat across the top of the paw at the widest point – please do not measure down the sides. Alternatively, you can have your dog standing on a piece of paper and then mark both sides of the paw and measure the distance between these marks. If your dog is 60 lbs or more we recommend going up one size from where the width lines up with our sizing.
It is difficult for dogs with arthritis and other mobility challenges to remain stable on tile and hardwood and can often fall very hard on these unforgiving floors, so Grippers are a great way to help stabilize them and keep them safely on their feet. More comfortable than dog shoes or dog boots and more protective than regular dog socks, Grippers represent a step forward in dog footwear.

I bought these socks for hopes that I could give my ailing best friend more time and they did just that! I ask my vet if he could recommend any good non slip socks and he said he didn’t have a line on anything that would work so I went to the Internet. You can bet that I’m going let him know about these Grippers because my best friend now has his confidence and strength to enjoy a simple walk across the hardwood floors to his food or water or walk up to me to put his head on my lap. You don’t realize what that means to him or me. The mind still wants to run and jump but age cruelly puts limitations on what we can do. To watch him enjoy these small but important steps is a blessing for me to see his confidence building up for him to enjoy his time with me before he crosses over that rainbow bridge. The best gift that I could give him was more time and a better quality of life which these socks gave him and my gift was to have him with me longer. Thank you Grippers from both of us

Hi Theresa – so glad you like them. The Velcro straps are there just in case you find the socks are sliding down. If you don’t need them then great, but if you do need them then the best placement is around his ankles mid-way down on the socks.

We got these for our 11 year old lab. Although he isnt crazy about anything on his feet they sure do help him walk better. We just got them a few days ago so i am sure once he gets used to them he will be fine. My one question is, the booties came with some long velcro strips. What are those for?

We ordered a pair of Grippers for our 11 year old chocolate lab. She has some hip dysplasia and arthritis and was having a lot of trouble walking on our hardwood floors. She couldn’t go around corners without falling down. When we received our order we waited until she was relaxed and put the socks on her. We had no idea how she would react. She was hesitant at first, but as soon as she realized she could walk without falling, she RAN to my husband and hopped all over the house! I couldn’t stop crying. This is the best $20 I have ever spent on her!!! I am so happy with the product and I’ll be ordering more.
My only complaint is that the socks came with 4 Velcro straps and no instructions. We figured it out but it would have been nice if there would have been a sheet included.

Kricket is a real old girl, not sure how old since she was a rescue. She’s got bad hips and arthritis. She’s on lots of medications to manage it but still always had issues getting up on our floors. This morning. She pounced out of bed without her feet going out from under her or sliding all over the place. It hasn’t even been 24 hours since I’ve placed the socks on her but this gave me a glimmer of hope. And she doesn’t even care they are on! I will definitely recommend these to friends and clients with older pets!

We got a pair for our 14 year old Miniature Schnauzer x Bichon Frise and they have made such a huge difference ! He was having a lot of trouble walking on our tiles, to the point where it looked like he was ice skating and we would have to carry him onto the carpet.
He was a little hesitant to let us put the socks on him at first but he soon realised what a difference they made and he now stands there patiently while we pop them on. The size we ordered are a bit big but we just put some tape around his ankle (near the top) and that does the trick. His quality of life has improved so much all thanks to a pair of socks !

I had a great experience dealing with Carol at dog quality. I was purchasing grippers for my 121/2 year old old English sheepdog and wasn’t sure of the size, Carol walked me through it plus added an extra pair of grippers for free in another size. I did need the extra pair she sent as the size I chose was too small. My Lilac is doing so much better with the grippers I am almost forgetting that she kept slipping and falling and it is giving her a chance to still run and play. They are a little hard to get on my hairy dog but worth the effort. Thank you for your help.

Our 15 years old dog (Pointer+Doberman, so big one) has problems with hind legs.
this brilliant product helps in two important ways:
1) Since she cannot really lift her hind legs, she kind of dragging them. That bruises the nails till bleeding, which made walking almost impossible for her.
after using the socks, it got better really fast.
2) Every once in a while she’s having trouble walking in the house, so the socks help her not to slip. but this is only a secondary problem, the one above was the real difficult one.

These are amazing! My 9 year old Bouvier Des Flandres has really bad hip d. He has been slipping and splaying out all over the house because we do not have carpet since that last year or so. I have tried other shoes etc, but was disappointed and ripped off. These really work! The first time I put them on yesterday he was walking and even running across the floor! It is almost like he knows they give him the ability to walk better. So happy and grateful for these, my dog is so happy and was almost smiling since I have been yesterday! His life has now changed from not being able to hardly get up off the floor to walking and running. Thank you so much for this great product!!!
